I really didn’t want to post this because I like the Patriots and Coach Belichick.

Today marks the six-year anniversary of the day that radical Muslims attacked and killed thousands of innocent people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and on a flight over Pennsylvania. Today is a day to remember because it is the freedom that we enjoy that is the biggest reason these murderers attacked. It is imperative that we never forget this act.

Unfortunately, yesterday while a United States General, David Patraeus, was reporting to Congress about events in Iraq, it became obvious that some have surely forgotten and have lost sight of who exactly the enemy is.

Roger was pushing his cart around Wal-Mart in Mexico, Maine the other day, when he ran his cart into another old fart from Peru. The old geezer from Peru says, “Sorry about that. I was looking for my wife and wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.”

Roger mumbled something under his breath and then said to the guy, “That’s okay! I can’t seem to find my wife either. What’s your wife look like? Maybe I can keep an eye out for her.”

The old fart from Peru, now breathing heavily and showing signs of fear and panic said, “Oh, really? That would be great. I really need to find my wife!”

“Well, what does she look like?” Roger asked again.

“Well, she is 27 yrs old!, tall, with red hair, blue eyes, long legs, and is wearing short shorts,” he answered. “What does your wife look like? While I’m looking for mine, I’ll keep an eye out for yours!”

“That’s okay!” Roger quickly replied. “Why don’t I just help you look for your wife.”

There is one thing for sure. Mainahs know a cow when they see it. After all, a cow is a cow is a cow. But what is it that a real live Mainah sees when under stress? They say that stress can cause a lot of bad things to happen to someone if they can’t get control over it. Now we wouldn’t want any fellow Mainahs dying or anything like that, so here’s a stress test. Scroll down to the photo of two cows jumping over the moon. I just wanted to take a few minutes to wish everyone a happy Labor Day. Labor Day is a time when we take a break from our busy work schedules to reflect back on the hours of labor and hard work put in by Americans everywhere that helps to make this country great. Thank you to all who have toiled hard this past year.

For many, Labor Day marks the end of summer. By this week just about every kid in America will be back in school but before that happens, I hope you enjoy a great time together getting in those end of the summer cookouts, camping trips and family gatherings.
